Applications from individuals and community organisations are considered by a Local Advisory Committee several times throughout the year and recommended to The Honourable The Irish Society for approval. Other larger and/or special grant proposals are discussed and agreed by The Irish Society’s Court of trustees in London.
The Local Advisory Committee last met in June 2015, when the new Governor (Alderman Sir David Wootton), new Deputy Governor (Mr Roger Chadwick) and other members of the Summer Visitation party were present. The next meeting is due to take place in Northern Ireland on Monday 12 October 2015, during a visit by the Deputy Governor. The deadline for applications to be considered at that time is FRIDAY 25 SEPTEMBER.
